These seven Holy Mysteries are: These Holy Mysteries are encounters with Holy God through Holy God the Son within the Holy Trinity / Our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ. They help us to be in union with Holy God. These Holy Mysteries help us to do something that we can not do on our own: "to become partakers of the divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4). All Holy Mysteries are administered by a priest. A Holy Mystery is never a private, family "event." Each reception of a Holy Mystery is a celebration of the whole Catholic Church community. The Holy Mysteries is one of the three things that unit us to Holy GodThe three things that unit us to Holy God are Prayer, Fasting, and The Holy Mysteries. The Word "Mystery"The word "Mystery" written in Greek, transliteration, Latinized, and Anglicized. The word "Mysterium" stresses the unseen power of Holy God. Holy MyronThe Patriarch consecrates Holy Myron (a special mixture of oil and spices) for all the Melkite Greek Catholic Churches during Matins of Great and Holy Thursday, which is celebrated on Great and Holy Wednesday evening.
